Cape Town church calls for decriminalisation of sex work

 sex work

Reverend Alan Storey of the Central Methodist mission, together with members of the Asijiki Coalition for the Decriminalisation of Sex Work, on Thursday hoisted a banner over the church steeple in support of the decriminalisation of sex work. The banner, which read “Jesus was the first to decriminalise sex work”, is part of the church’s Yellow Banner Theology.
According to the Sex Workers Education and Advocacy Taskforce (SWEAT), this is the first time a South African religious institution has made a public statement in support of the decriminalisation of sex work in South Africa.

"What the criminalisation of sex work has done is to make a vulnerable group of people even more vulnerable," said Storey. He explains that the criminalisation of sex work disempowers sex workers from insisting safe sex with clients. This makes sex workers to be more exposed to sexual transmitted diseases as it is difficult for them to access health services.

On 5 March 2018 a summit was hosted where the South African Labour Reform Commission's recommended that the continual of criminalisation, but not decriminalisation.

I for one believe that sex work should be decriminalised so that there will be laws which protect sex workers. I think with the laws available there would be a decrease in the rate of HIV/AIDS.

SOUTH AFRICA,S UNEMPLOYMENT RATE DROPS DOWN TO 26.7%

Unemployment has dropped by a whole percentage point in the most recent financial quarter. According to StatsSA, it takes the official number down to 26.7% of the population who are without a job.

There are now 37.5 million people of working age in South Africa. Statistician-General Risenga Maluleke kicked off the press briefing on 13 February 2018 at 11:30 , and revealed the improvement SA is seeing overall, despite there being a need for further improvement.
Between the third and fourth quarters of 2017, 330,000 more people had found work.
15-64 year olds with no work opportunities or access to job markets, we’re actually looking at a total of 9.2 million unemployed South African citizens:

Of those who are ‘economically inactive’, a large number of them are registered students. StatsSA calculate that 41% of the unemployed are currently studying. 17% are recognised as “home-makers”, whereas 16% are acknowledged as “discouraged workers”.

These figures very much call for the champagne to be put on ice!!!!

AFRICA: Where black is not really beautiful

South Africa is marketed to the world as Mandela's raimbow nation, where everyone is proud of their race and heritage. But for some black South Africans there is such a thing as being too black.

A recent study in the university of capetown suggest that one women of three in South Africa bleaches her skin.
They use skin-lighters because they want 'white skin'.
Local musician Nomasonto "Mshoza" Mninsi, now several shades lighter, says her new skin makes her more happy, beautiful and confident.

Entrenched in the minds of many Africans from a young age is the adage "if it's white, it's all right" a belief that has chipped away at the self-esteem of millions

Wear your dark skin and lovely face with a grin on it black child!!

A MASQUERADER: Republic of South Africa

0000932419 REPUBLIC OF SOUTH AFRICA DC(REGISTERED AS A COROPERATION IN WASHINGTON DC)

The citizens of South Africa have written about how the REPUBLIC OF SOUTH AFRICA is a corporation registered on "www.sec.gov" with the Securities Exchange Commision in the United state of America. We are registered twice, also under the Queen of England(Commonwealth). Each of the citizens have their pesonal views that this is nothing but a pure propaganda, while others believe that it is really a case.

South Africa is owned by by the US, it was turned into a corporation, not a sovereign state no more.
Their job is to control, manage and keep us asleep and occupied at cost, so they could have an opportunity widespread of corruption and fraud. We are made slaves, properties of various by Nelson Mandela and the ANC, signed by minister of finance onan anual basis.

Ever wonder why we pay for cheap goods to expensive and a lot, because the Commonwealth and US Fedal Reserve also want their cut. So ANC Led Government with corporations in the country will raise prices sky high in order for them to make a huge profit.

The UBUNTU Liberation movement sent letters with questions for clarrification about the issues arising from different persons to department such as the Public Services Commision but never got a reply. They then sent another to the president giving him 20 days notice to respond to the letter.
